Tips and What to Expect when Fishing in Hawaii (part 2 of 2)

Here are some tips that you need to remember when you go fishing in the Big Island of Hawaii.

First of all, if you are serious about catching fish, you might want to book a 6 hour or 8 hour trip. This will give the boat enough time to reach the fishing grounds and let you spend more hours fishing in the spot.

There is also the tag and release option where it will be entirely left up to you. Try discussing this issue with the captain of the boat.

Also, try to remember that the crew members are great fishermen who will never make your lunch. So, make sure that you bring your own food and drink.

Most of the operators here will be able to provide you with the equipments, licenses and ice to store the fish in.

Of course, you wouldn’t want to just tell the story to your friends when you get back home about the large fish you caught. So, bring a camera to support your story. You have to remember that your fellow anglers will never accept the fact that you caught a fish larger than theirs and they are indeed fond of exaggerating. So, never forget that camera.

In Hawaii, always remember that it has a tropical weather and it can get very hot. Bring a sunscreen especially if you are going to spend hours in the deck of the boat fighting the fish you just hooked.

These are some of the tips that you need to follow whenever you go to Hawaii. With these tips, you can be sure that you will be able to know what to expect when you go to Hawaii.
